The City of Saskatoon is looking for Contract Instructors for the First Step Program
Location & Hours
- Saskatoon Field House
- Tuesday & Thursday shifts 7:45-11:30am or 4:30-7:30pm (shorter shifts available), and/or Saturday 9:00-11:00am.
Job Duties
- Set up and take down program
- Lead group strength classes
- Provide exercise prescription based on a client’s conditions
- Demonstrate the use of fitness equipment using proper technique
- Observe client workouts and correct any improper technique
- Coach and advise clients on improving lifestyle choices
- Be self-motivated, energetic, organized and responsible
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- SC. Kinesiology or degree in a related field; or currently enrolled in Kinesiology or a related field
- CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist, CSEP Certified Personal Trainer or ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist
- Valid First Aid and CPR
- Preference is given to those who have experience prescribing exercise to individuals with chronic conditions and/or older adults
Rate of Pay is $32.00 per hour
